It wasn't until recently I was convinced by Katie to start looking after myself a bit more. To put this in context last year I was doing something I didn't really enjoy and I was working long hours and not really enjoying life to much. But that's a story for another day.
On a daily basis we all have things we do in the morning. I shower and have breakfast then get ready is my standard routine. So this weeks blog is about what I use on a daily basis, because to me it seems like men looking after there skin and hair is still a bit 50/50. I don't talk to my mates about what I put in my hair or moisturise with, it just seems a bit of a weird topic to bring up.
I've only just let go of the long sweeping hair stage (hey don't judge we all did it!!). Now I have short hair I normally do a small quiff because its so easy to do. I use Got2b spiking glue and occasionally when its raining I use the 'blasting freeze spray'. I love this products because as you all know I do a lot of exercise and this stuff just holds my hair in the same way all day long! I think that's a key thing when it comes to choosing hair product. I've used so many different products to try get my hair to stay and nothing works as well as Got2b.
Because I ride a lot I get wind burn and really dry skin occasionally, I use Nivea Sensitive Moisturiser. I just think this is the best moisturiser out there if you have sensitive skin. I use this on my face and hands every day. It doesn't have an over powering smell like other moisturisers I've used before. The only criticism I have is it only comes in a 75ml bottle and that just isn't enough. If any of you know if you can get it any bigger let me know!
Another downside to be a cyclist is drying lips, I don't think there has been a day this winter I haven't used Nivea hyrdo care. I'm convinced it has magic powers, it really helps with just being comfortable because dry and broken lips is one the most annoying things. Every time I set off on the bike or for a run I just put a little bit on and it seems to be working.
Now shampoo is definitely a new thing for me, I thought they all did the same thing... ow how wrong I was. I don't really suffer from dandruff or anything like that but like I said before I do have quite sensitive skin, so the Head and Shoulders classic is just really soothing and its actually nicer to use than any random shampoo. A disclaimer on first comment I did use shampoo I just didn't know did different things.
I am a man... no really I am 18 that makes me a man. This means I do have to shave and the older I get the more I have to do it. My favorite after shave at the moment is ' Next Code Eau de Toilette' My French isn't very good but that title doesn't sound inviting. But it smells really good!!
There we are then talking about Men's skincare and daily routine wasn't to hard, I wonder if it will get easier for everyone.
Thanks for reading this weeks post, Have an amazing week!
